Nacionalna opera i balet je državna kulturna institucija Severne Makedonije. Godine 1947. osnovan je ansambl opere, a 1949. godine i baletski ansambl. Obe grupe su bile deo Makedonskog narodnog pozorišta (MNT). Ovaj stil pozorišne organizacije (drama-opera-balet, poznat i kao austrougarski model) je izmenjen 2004. godine, kada je MNT zadržao dramski ansambl, a opera i balet formirali posebnu kompaniju poznatu kao Makedonska opera i balet (MOB). Makedonska opera i balet promenila je ime 2018. u „Nacionalna opera i balet“ (NOB).

AVC Group je obezbedila audio i svetlosnu opremu za glavnu salu, kao i sistemsku integraciju i završnu montažu. Projekat je finansiran japanskim donacijama.
